EUSEW 2019

17 Jun - 20 Jun 2019

The EU Sustainable Energy Week is the annual Policy Conference that features leading figures and a diverse programme of sessions and side events aimed at discussing and shaping Europe's energy future. It is divided into four main "categories":
  • Policy conference, 18-20 June: the biggest European conference dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe. Sessions organised by the European Commission and energy stakeholders focus on sustainable energy issues, debate new policy developments, best practices and sustainable energy ideas
  • Networking village, 18-20 June: fosters information-sharing and new connections to promote sustainable energy innovation. It is an opportunity for participants and stakeholders alike to exchange ideas on policies and best practices, and a chance to lay foundations for future cooperation.
  • Energy awards: the awards recognise outstanding innovation in energy efficiency and renewables. Nominees/finalists are chosen from a shortlist of the year’s most successful projects for clean, secure and efficient energy. With prizes awarded by an expert jury and European citizens, the Awards competition highlights new ways to shape Europe’s energy future.
  • Energy Days, May-June 2019: Organised by local public and private organisations, Energy Days are activities and events that promote clean energy transition. Any activity can be an Energy Day – from a workshop, to a competition, to a tour of a power station – provided it engages citizens and energy stakeholders in building the Energy Union.
