CEMOSA is a Spanish engineering consultancy and quality control company in the field of construction (including transport infrastructure and building),founded in 1972. Its headquarters are in Malaga (Spain). It includes 9 national offices and 10 international offices (Brazil, Panama, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica Portugal, Mexico and India).

The research and innovation department works jointly with the technical staff in other areas of the company.

CEMOSA has a strong commitment in Sustainable Development. Its Building Area has a clear focus on Energy Efficient Buildings.

With respect to R&D activities, CEMOSA has a consolidated experience in Research & Innovation projects funded by the European Union (FP7 and H2020) and the Spanish Government. CEMOSA has coordinated two FP7 projects: one of them entitled Automated and cost effective maintenance for railway (ACEM Rail) in the Sustainable Surface Transport theme and another one entitled Self-learning Energy Efficient builDings and open Spaces (SEEDS).It had also participated, as partner, in other three FP7 R&D projects focused in Energy Efficient Buildings: Total Renovation Strategies for Energy Reduction in Public Building Stock (BRICKER), Collaborative Holistic Design Laboratory and Methodology for Energy-Efficient Embedded Buildings (eeEmbedded), Balancing energy production and consumption in energy efficient smart neighbourhoods (e-balance).

Moreover, CEMOSA participates in three H2020 projects: Linear infrastructure efficiency improvement by automated learning and optimized predictive maintenance techniques (INFRALERT), Intelligent Innovative Smart Maintenance of Assets by integrated Technologies (IN2SMART) and Research into enhanced tracks, switches and structures (IN2TRACK).
